Homemade Coleslaw with Apple Slices

Highly flavorful with a nice tangy finish.

Ingredients:

2 cups shredded red cabbage
2 cups shredded green cabbage
1/4 cup sour cream
1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons cider vinegar
1/2 teaspoon celery seed
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1 Gala apple, cored, quartered, and sliced thin

Directions:

  1. Combine the red and green cabbages in a large bowl then set aside.
  2. Place sour cream, mayonnaise, vinegar, celery seed, salt and black pepper in a mixing bowl. Whisk ingredients together until they are well combined.
  3. Add apple slices to bowl.
  4. Pour sour cream mixture over the cabbage then lightly toss to coat.
  5. Cover with plastic wrap and chill for at least 1 hour. Spoon coleslaw into serving bowls and enjoy.
