Orders must be placed before November 18, 2017 by contacting Chef Ginger either via email, in person or by calling 401.783.4656 x 3. Please let us know of any dietary restrictions or concerns. Pick-up is Wednesday, Nov. 22nd before 7:00pm or Thursday, Nov. 23rd between 7:00am - 9:00am. A specific pick-up time is required. We will call to confirm your order, including size of turkey if appropriate, and will also confirm your specific pickup time.

The most effective way to tell when a turkey is done is to check its internal temperature with a meat thermometer. The breast meat should reach 165 F, while the thigh meat should reach 175 F. At these temperatures, any potential bacteria are destroyed. Be sure to insert the thermometer into the center of the meat, avoiding the bone.
If the turkey has reached its required internal temperature, but the skin is not as brown as you would like, try adding sugar or maple syrup to broth and basting the turkey. With large turkeys that take longer to cook, the skin may become dark or even begin to burn before the internal temperatures are reached. Covering these areas with foil will prevent them from burning.
